i got my copy of iThe Penguin Book of Caribbean Verse today.....The old favourites of our youth... Figareuoea, Mervin Morris ex Munronian, Evan Davis Bob, Peter, jimmy, Bongo Jerry....
a synthesis of the literary and the oral....traditions...
I showed the verse to englighted English man of the Fabian poltican tradtion and he expressed surprise that it was not what he expected from Carribbean verse....
We are good... there is alot of great stuff in it...
